This FACTORY FRESH 15GP22 was finally removed from its shipping carton 48 years after is was boxed in Lancaster.
Here's something most of us will never see in a lifetime of wishing. A "new" 15GP22, right out of its RCA carton where it had been hibernating since it was packed February 16, 1954. To top that, it was acquired at the same time as a CT-100 that had been gathering dust since 1961. When powered up (after appropriate reforming of the power supply electrolytics), the result was a raster.
Squint carefully at the 15GP22. A raster in the upper two-thirds of the faceplate caps forty-one years of waiting.
