Early Color TelevisionRCA Field Sequential Prototypes
Courtesy of Mike Molnar This 1941 prototype was made in a RCA TRK-9 cabinet. At the bottom were two power supplies, one for the television chassis (next level up) and the other for the radio chassis, which is on the top. The television chassis looks like a standard TRK-9 chassis. There doesn't appear to be any motor control circuitry. There is a box below the CRT neck, and another box next to the radio chassis, and there is a two conductor line from the motor leaving the cabinet. The motor might have been synchronous, and therefor not needing any control circuits.
