Hollis Baird Model 26/36 Televisor

Early Television

Courtesy of Bill Schirding

This set was made by the Hollis Baird Company of Boston, Massachusetts. It was available in kit form (model 26) or fully assembled (model 36). It used a scanning drum rather than a disk, which produced an image that was rectangular rather than curved as from a scanning disk. The scanner was used with a model 25/35 Universal Shortwave Receiver. Here is advertising literature.
