1846 Iconoscope
RCA developed this 4 1/2 inch iconoscope in 1941 for use in its World War Two television camera. The tube, similar to the earlier 1850, was smaller and lighter. Recently a Japanese experimenter, used the tube in a modern camera, with excellent results.
