The Set: Pete Deksnis's Site about the CT-100
Restoring a Vintage Color Television Set
These collectors are involved in the often slow, always rewarding restoration of a CT-100. Some are active, others plan to begin soon. There are now six Merrills in Europe: one each in Great Britain and France (operational) and two each in Germany (one operational) and Italy. One collector is restoring a vintage Admiral -- another a vintage Colorcaster. Both use the same crt as the CT-100. One collector documents a CT-100 restoration on another website, click 'web-link' below.
This page serves as a repository for restoration-related information based upon the personal experience and vintage reference materials acquired by collectors in their persuit of a functional color television set that uses the 15GP22 tricolor picture tube.
The total number of surviving CT-100 television sets known to THE_SET
including those collectors on this information exchange page
is documented in a Living CT-100 list.
In deference to collectors who wish to remain anonymous, ownership information is not published.
as of Nov 29, 2008
the totals are: 133 Merrills,
plus 4 R.I.P., with 36 fully operational.
