Baird Window Display

This is a Baird Televisor window display model with a textured monochrome portrait of J. L. Baird on a 3½in. lantern slide in the viewing aperture, lit from behind in green painted aluminum case with rounded corners, twin case extensions at the back, on wood base with bracket feet and gold line decoration.

Notice that this display differs from the Baird Televisor in that the top corners are more rounded and that there is an imitation bronze 'Eye-of-the-World' plaque, in painted celluloid. The scanning-effect of the picture is achieved by the use of ribbed glass, combined with a  heatwheel above the lamp.
