Surviving Early TV Camera Database

This database was compiled by Bobby Ellerbee, a collector of early cameras and creator of the Eyes of a Generation website. If you have one of the cameras listed below, please contact Bobby: tobeorellerbee at charter dot net. Pictures of  many of these cameras can be seen at The Broadcast Archive and at the RCAVirtual Museum. Lytle Hoover, curator of the Virtual Museum at oldradio.com, and a former RCA camera sales representative, has compiled an estimate of RCA color camera sales. Lytle also collaborated with Ed Reitan to produce this page about pioneering local color broadcasters.

Cameras added to database in 2008

This database is under construction. RCA and GE have been entered.
