 A Coal Powered TV Set?

This article appeared  in a recent issue of the The Lincoln Times-News (Lincoln, North Carolina), in the Readers Forum section. Thanks to Bob Hitt for sending it to us. There were kerosene powered refrigerators in the 30s, so why not coal powered TV sets? For some reason I can't find any listed in Rider or Sams.

Here is a real coal powered TV set, developed by Westinghouse.
