We have just purchased this set. It is probably from 1937 or 1938, since it doesn't have provisions for dual standard operation. The set is in Rome, Italy. It was brought there by a South American Diplomat, who probably purchased it in England. Italy was broadcasting experimental 405 line television in 1938, from Milan and Rome and this set may have been used to receive these programs. Here is a brochure.
