From 1937 to 1939, an experimental 120 line mechanical television station was on the air in Warsaw.
It broadcast from the Prudential Building
The transmitting tower
The film camera.
It was from there that the first test television program was broadcast. On October 5, 1938, several TV sets in Warsaw showed, among others, the film "Barbara Radziwiłłówna".
The transmitter
Explosion of a 600 mm shell at the top of Prudential - August 28, 1944. This explosion probably blew away the transmitting mast of the Experimental Television Station from the roof of the building.
