This set was made in 1938, has a 5 inch picture tube, and is vision-only. Only a few of these survive, probably because of the small screen size and the inconvenience of having to use a separate radio for the sound. This set is in excellent condition. The 4 small holes on the front are where a magnifying lens was added. Here are technical data and operating instructions. A French version of this set was also made in 1939.
Recently we obtained a replacement CRT for this set. The tube has an interesting history.
