RCA TK-20 Iconoscope Film Chain Camera
(click on picture for high resolution image)
After World War Two, RCA introduced image orthicon cameras for studio and remote pickup use. However, the pre-1945 1850 iconoscope was used in their film chain camera. The iconoscope was capable of producing a better picture if it had a large amount of light, which was possible in a film chain. The above camera and stand were donated by the Ohio Historical Society.
