Early Television Stations
Earle Anthony Stations (W6XEA, KSEE, KFI)
Earle Anthony was a Packard dealer in Los Angeles and owned radio stations in California. He applied for a television license for W6XEA in 1939:

Broadcasting, April 1 1939
He was apparently granted a construction permit sometime between then and January 1, 1941 for operation on channel 6 (96-102 mHz) with 1000 watt power. His call sign is listed as KSEE in 1944. After the war the station became KFI and operated on channel 9.
