Early Color Television CBS-Columbia 22 Inch Rectangular
The first rectangular color sets were made in 1957 by CBS and Westinghouse. A very few receivers were made using them, including this model. Convergence never worked properly on these tubes, and they were withdrawn from the market rapidly. It was not until the mid 60s that successful rectangular tubes were made. This set used the CBS-Hytron HD226 CRT.
